Expo '75 was a World's Fair held on the island of Okinawa in Japan in 1975. The World's Fair itself was situated on a floating ocean platform off the coast of the island. The theme of this World's Fair was "the sea we would like to see." This was the first international event hosted by Okinawa since autonomy of the island was given back to Japan in 1972.
