Eric Alterman is a liberal American commentator, author and activist, and is currently a political and music columnist for The Nation. He also writes the daily weblog "Altercation" for msnbc.com.
Alterman's books include What Liberal Media?, Sound and Fury: The Making of the Punditocracy, and It Ain't No Sin To Be Glad You're Alive: The Promise of Bruce Springsteen.
