Sir Thomas Englefield was Speaker of the United Kingdom's House of Commons from 1496 to 1497 and again in 1509. A Knight of the Bath, he was born in Englefield in Berkshire in c.1450. Moved to Worcestershire where he became a magistrate (JP) and High Sheriff.
