Emperor Shoko of Japan



         


Emperor Shōkō (称光天皇) (1401-1428) was the 101st imperial ruler of Japan. He took the throne in 1412 following the abdication of his father and remained emperor until his death in 1428. He was succeeded by his second cousin, Go-Hanazono.
