Electrolyte disturbance
In medicine, electrolyte disturbances are elevated or depressed levels of circulating electrolytes.
Specific electrolyte disturbances include:
- hypernatraemia and hyponatraemia (sodium)
- hyperkalaemia and hypokalaemia (potassium)
- hypercalcaemia and hypocalcaemia (calcium)
- hyperphosphataemia and hypophosphataemia (phosphate)
- hypermagnesaemia and hypomagnesaemia (magnesium)
