Edgeley Park (Capacity 10,852 seats) is the home of Stockport County Football Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Union club. It is now over 100 years old and has seen its hallowed turf by many of football's greats, including George Best who played for Stockport County during the 1960s.
The ground is built in the classical Northern style with the more recently added Cheadle End (which seats 5000) providing a modern aspect and keeping Edgeley Park as a stadium full of atmosphere and fit for modern requirements.
For football matches, the allocation for opposition (away) supporters varies as follows:
For Rugby Union matches there is no segregation.
Edgeley Park was the venue for the final of the 1978 World Lacrosse Championship.
