East African Campaign

The East African Campaign refers to the battles fought between the United Kingdom and Italy around the region of Italian East Africa during the North African Campaign.

It was a fairly short campaign, as it only took 94 days for the British to win.

Initial hostilities in the region began in August 1940 when the Duke of Aosta, commander of Italian colonial forces in the area, invaded British Somaliland.
