Downtown Disney (California)

Downtown Disney is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment area located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was constructed as part of the Disney's California Adventure project in 2000, occupying the space in between California Adventure and Disneyland on the western side of the resort, west to Disneyland Hotel. Part of Anaheim's Downtown Disney is buiit on a bridge over Disneyland Drive (formerly West Street). It is smaller than it's Florida namesake. Currently, no admission ticket is required for Downtown Disney. The Disneyland Monorail has a station at Downtown Disney.

Downtown Disney in Anaheim includes the following attractions:

California's Downtown Disney was designed more to attract "locals" and to encourage extended stays in the resort district.

Locals refer to the Disneyland Resort House of Blues location as the "Mouse of Blues."

Many of the Disney's Grand Californian hotel's rooms overlook Downtown Disney.
