Disinfopedia

The Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) is an organization that describes itself as a media research group and was founded in 1993 by environmentalist writer and political activist John Stauber. It publishes PR Watch, edited by Sheldon Rampton, and has published several books describing what it calls the murky world of public relations.

Concerning liberal implications in their work, Stauber and Rampton state on their CMD website that they are not affiliated with a political party, but admit they do not pretend to lack opinions or a point of view.
