Diksmuide

French and English) is a municipality in the province of West Flanders, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the city of Diksmuide proper and the towns of Beerst, Esen, Kaaskerke, Keiem, Lampernisse, Leke, Nieuwkapelle, Oostkerke, Oudekapelle, Pervijze, Sint-Jacobs-Kapelle, Stuivekenskerke, Vladslo and Woumen. On January 1st, 2000 Diksmuide had a total population of 15,443 (7,697 males and 7,746 females). The total area is 151.41 km² which gives a population density of 101.99 inhabitants per km².
