Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong is an anthoropomorphized monkey who first appeared in the Super Nintendo video game Donkey Kong Country as Donkey Kong's sidekick. In Donkey Kong Country 2, Diddy was the star with Dixie Kong as his sidekick. He was also featured in Donkey Kong Country 3; however, he was not playable - rather, he was one of the characters which the player was to rescue. On the Nintendo 64, Diddy was the star character in Diddy Kong Racing. He would also appear in Donkey Kong 64; initially he was imprisoned by King K. Rool, but once rescued became a playable character. As well, Diddy appeared in the Donkey Kong Land trilogy on the Game Boy console.
