Richard A. Zimmer is an American politician of the Republican party.
Zimmer has served as a commissioner on the Dayton, Ohio, city commission from 1978 to 1985, from 1987 to 1996, and from 2002 to present.
He ran against Rush D. Holt for the New Jersey 12th District seat in the House of Representatives in 2000 and lost by 1,101 votes.
