Dick Tracy (movie)
Dick Tracy is the name of a 1990 movie based upon the Dick Tracy character created by Chester Gould. It was adapted by Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr., and directed by Warren Beatty. It stars Beatty, Charlie Korsmo, William Forsythe, Allen Garfield, John Schuck, Charles Fleischer, Madonna, Mandy Patinkin, Paul Sorvino, Robert Costanzo, Al Pacino, Kathy Bates, Dick Van Dyke, Hamilton Camp, Colm Meaney, Catherine O'Hara, Henry Silva, Estelle Parsons, Glenne Headly, Bert Remsen, Michael J. Pollard, James Caan and Mary Woronov.
The movie was won Academy Awards for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Makeup and Best Music, Original Song (Stephen Sondheim for "Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man)"). It was also nominated for Oscars for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Al Pacino), Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design (Milena Canonero) and Best Sound.
