Diamond dust

Diamond dust is an unusual meteorological phenomena observed in Antartica which is microscopic ice crystals formed out of clear air because of the extremely low temperature. Water has a freezing point of 0°C; its dynamic arrest point is -39°C. These specks of ice drift through the air and reflect the sunlight like countless diamonds.

Although diamond dust is unusual, it is "just" very thin ice clouds.
