Democrat Party, also known as Partai Demokrat (PD), is founded on 9 September 2001. Its ideology is based on pancasila and its leader is Prof. Dr. S. Budhisantoso.
The party won 7.5% share of votes in the 2004 Indonesian legislative election and finished fifth place overall.
