Dedede
King Dedede is an enemy/friend of Kirby in Nintendo and HAL Laboratories' Kirby series of videogames. Though often portrayed as evil, he is more likely just a psychotic, and sometimes well-meaning, doofus.

In Kirby's Adventure, he is the final boss, but it is revealed that by his "evil" doings he merely wanted to keep the far more evil "Nightmare" character from Dreamland.
Kirby's trophy description in Super Smash Bros. Melee states,
- Dedede's the self-proclaimed king of Dream Land. While he says he's king, Dedede performs no administrative functions and the citizens of Dream Land continue to live as they always have. He's able to suck in air and fly like Kirby does, but only as a result of the vigorous training he undertook after being bested by Kirby.
