Death rock fashion

Death rock fashion is a distinctive style of dress, associated with death rock music. It was popularised by Siouxsie and the Banshees and other deathrock artists in the 1970s and '80s, as an offshoot from the punk rock movement, and would prove influential to the gothic fashion style developing around the same time. It is very similar in appearance to both goth and punk fashion, characterised by "whiteface" make-up, often contrasted with dark clothing, and punk-influenced accessories such as safety pins and spikes.
