David E. Price

David Eugene Price (born 17 August 1940) is a Democratic Congressman representing the 4th district of North Carolina.()

Born in Erwin, Tennessee, Price attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then earned divinity and doctoral degrees from Yale University. Price first entered Congress in 1987 and has served there continuously since then, except for a single term (the 104th Congress) when he was ousted by Republican Fred Heineman.
