Daniel Johnson, Jr.
Daniel Johnson, Jr. (born December 24, 1944) was Liberal Premier of Quebec from January 11 to September 16, 1994. His father, Daniel Johnson Sr. had been premier of Quebec from 1966 to 1968, as had his brother, Pierre-Marc Johnson, for a brief period in 1985 (similar to his own brief term of office).
Johnson became Premier following the resignation of Robert Bourassa. He then lost the 1994 election to Jacques Parizeau and the Parti Quebecois.
He headed the "No" option in the 1995 Quebec referendum and served as Liberal party leader and leader of the Opposition until 1998.
