Damn Yankees, American rock band, formed in 1989, consisting of Jack Blades, Tommy Shaw, Ted Nugent and Michael Cartellone.

In 1989, Jack Blades (Night Ranger) , Tommy Shaw (Styx), Ted Nugent and drummer Michael Cartellone joined forces, and formed rock band Damn Yankees. The band went double-platinum on their self-titled debut album. The album included the hit singles Comin' Of Age, the self-titled Damn Yankees and the chart-topping rock ballad High Enough. After the release of the album, the Damn Yankees went on a year and a half world tour. In 1992, the Damn Yankees went platinum with the album Don't Tread On Me. The title song of the album received extensive coverage at the Barcelona Olympic Games. Don't Tread On Me wasn't as big of a hit as the first album, but came out with such hits as the self-titled Don"t Tread On Me, Mister Please, Where You Goin' Now and The Silence Is Broken.
