Cowboy Junkies
Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian country music and alternative rock band.
The band's name presumably came from their slow, atmospheric take on country music, especially on The Trinity Session. This album also included a unique cover version of "Sweet Jane," by Lou Reed. Apparently Reed liked this version better even than his own. The group formed in Toronto in 1985. Three of the four band members are siblings.
