Counter-steering

Counter-steering is the seemingly paradoxical phenomenon that occurs on motorcycles (and occasionally bicycles), where rotating the handlbars in one direction causes the vehicle to turn in the opposite direction.

Counter-steering is a very precise means of steering, and is most effectively used at speed and on smooth bends, particularly when they lead into other bends.

There are some who claim that the phenomenon is real.
