Conveyor transport is the broad category of transport that includes modes developed from the idea of a conveyor belt. Examples include:

In Hong Kong, tens of thousands of commuters travel each work day between the Central District (a financial district) and the Mid-levels (a residential district hundreds of feet up Victoria Peak) using a long distance escalator/moving sidewalk combination.
