Content management

Content management or just CM is a name for the activity or system that supports the creation and administration of digital information. Content management became a heavily loaded term and is used for a vast variety of software products.

Content management could be:

a web content management system in software for web site management - which is often what is implicitly meant by this term
the work of a newspaper editorial staff organization
a workflow for article publication
a document management system
