Commodity Futures Trading Commission



         


The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is an independent agency of the United States Government. It is responsible to record and monitor trades of commodity futures. If misconduct, fraud, or breaking a rule is performed, the CFTC has the authority to fine, suspend, or indict the company or an individual in a federal court.
