Color Field is an art movement characterized by canvases being covered entirely by large fields of solid color. Color Field is related to Suprematism, and Abstract Expressionism. Some important Color Field artists include Mark Rothko, and Kenneth Noland.
In quantum mechanics, color field is also a whimsical name for some of the properties of quarks.
