College Bop

Bop is a term often used at Universities within the United Kingdom to indicate a club-night. This term is used especially within both the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford.

Bops are musical events held for students within the University. They usually feature a mixture of recent and older 'classic' Pop music, and certainly within the Oxbridge Universities are usually held within a specific college.

Within the University of Cambridge the term Bop is occasionally used in a more derogatory sense - they are frequently filled to capacity, becoming hot and sticky affairs.
