CKPR is the call letters for the CBC affiliated television station in Thunder Bay, Ontario (channel 2, cable 5). It is part of Thunder Bay Television, with the local CTV affiliate CHFD (channel 4, cable 6).
The PR in CKPR stand for Port aRthur. It was started as a CBC affiliate under the CALL of CFPA in 1954. This year (2004) is its 50th anniversary.
