There are several places in the U.S. named for the Cherokee people:
In addition, there are several counties named Cherokee County.
There is also an automobile called the Jeep Cherokee (see Jeep), and a family of light airplanes built by Piper Aircraft.
There is also a fashion label, "Cherokee of California," that was a major manufacturer of women's platform shoes in the late 1970s and 1980s, then branched out into casual clothing, and eventually degenerated into little more than a licensing company.
