Checking In was a short-lived spin-off of The Jeffersons, that having spun-off All in the Family.
The Jeffersons' maid, Florence Johnston (played by Marla Gibbs) accepted a job at the St. Frederick Hotel. The show only aired for a few episodes before the hotel burned down and Florence returned to her former job with the Jeffersons.
