Famous sketches
Some famous sketches from Chappelle's Show include:
- Trading Spouses: A spoof on the television show Trading Spaces, where a white and black family exchange fathers. Ironically, at least two US television networks have announced reality shows based upon a similar premise as of 2004.
- The racial draft: A sports style draft where the various races draft mixed-race (and other) celebrities
- Frontline: The life of Clayton Bigsby, a blind, black "white supremacist" who was raised thinking he was white
- Popcopy, a parody of the Kinko's franchise
- The Mad Real World, a parody of MTV's The Real World
- R. Kelly's "Piss on You" music video (and remix)
- Blackzilla!
- A Moment in the Life of Lil Jon, in which Dave plays the rapper/producer, who usually says only the words 'Yea-yah!', 'A-wha-tah?', and 'O-Kay-a!', and appears as he does in Usher Raymond's "Yeah!" video.
- What would movies be like if they were set in reality?
- What would life be like if it was set in the world of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City?
- Having a "pretty white girl" sing his thoughts as he writes them, because they would be too scary otherwise
- Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories: Rick James (featuring the real Rick James) and Prince. Created and popularized the catchphrases "What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!", "I'm Rick James, bitch!" and "Cocaine is a hell of a drug."
- Wayne Brady's Show: After Dave gets kicked off the show by his superiors, Wayne Brady takes over and when Dave takes the show back the tale of Wayne and Dave's misadventures is told where Wayne Brady goes on a violent rampage. Created and popularized the catchphrases "I'm Wayne Brady, bitch!" and "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?"
- Samuel Jackson Beer: A parody of the Samuel Adams beer commercials. Features Dave as a very profane Sam Jackson dressed in colonial-style clothes. Catchphrase: "It'll get you drunk."
In addition to sketches, the show features performances by various hip-hop groups.
Media
- "I'm rich, biotch" - the audio trademark for Dave's company, Pilot Boy Productions. It is heard at the end of every episode, and it was uttered in the "Reparations" sketch. (Ogg format)
