In telecommunication, the term chadless tape has the following meanings:
1. Punched tape that has been punched in such a way that chad is not formed.
2. A punched tape in which only partial perforation is performed so that the chad remains attached to the tape.
Note: The partial perforation is deliberate, and should not be confused with imperfect chadding.
