Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a world famous hospital located in Los Angeles.
It was founded on September 21, 1902, as Kaspare Cohn Hosptal. In 1910, it moved to Whittier Boulevard, in 1930 to Fountain Avenue, and a final time in 1955 to its present day location on Beverly Boulevard. Donations from the Max Factor Family Foundation allowed it to open in its current form, on November 5, 1972.
Cedars-Sinai is featured in the movie Volcano. It is imploded to form a barricade, to stop the flow of lava.
