Carterton, New Zealand



         


Carterton is a small town in a farming area of the Wairarapa district on New Zealand?s North Island. Carterton prides itself on being the birthplace of Sir Bob Charles, the first left-handed golfer to win a Major, the British Open in 1962. He won about 80 international tournaments and remains a role model for left-handers everywhere.
