The Honourable Carol Thatcher (born August 15, 1953), British journalist, is the daughter of Sir Denis Thatcher and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher. In 1991, she caused a storm when she failed to pay her poll tax, the controversial local taxation system introduced to massive protest by her mother. When asked by journalists what her mother would say, Carol replied: "Mum won't give a shit."
She once stormed out of a Billy Connolly gig after he had ridiculed her mother. The following night he suggested that her brother should have driven her home, in reference to his once being lost for six days during the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1982.
