Carlton, Nottinghamshire
Carlton is a town to the east of the city of Nottingham.
Its schools include Wheldon Comprehensive. In 2002, most of Wheldon school was burnt down in a fire, with the exception of the science block. A new building is being constructed to replace the destroyed classrooms. In the interim the students have portakabins for most of their lessons. Wheldon is now a classified Sports College, and will pursue this once the new school is built.
