Canisius College



         


Canisius College is a private university in Buffalo, New York. It was founded in 1870 by the Jesuits, and currently has 3,000 undergraduates and over 1,500 graduate students. The school is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.

U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks Canisius as one of the best regional schools in its "North Region." Notable people associated with the college include Manuel De Landa, a philosophy professor.

Canisius is served by two stations on the Buffalo Metro Rail.
