Bring It On (2000) is a cheerleading romantic comedy movie directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jessica Bendinger .
The Rancho Carne High School cheerleading squad "The Toros" in San Diego are aiming for their sixth consecutive national championship title. Big Red, their team captain, is retiring though, and passes the role onto Torrance Shipman. Shipman soon discovers, however, that all the team's previous routines were stolen from the East Compton Clovers – a team without the financial backing to get through to the championships.
While the Toros struggle to come up with a new routine, the Clovers, lead by Isis, make an appeal to a popular television program and manage to raise the cash to enter the tournament. New girl Missy Pantone is drafted in to the Toros squad and she and Shipman soon become close friends, as do Shipman and Missy's brother Cliff when he becomes her romantic interest.
