British Railways standard class 9F numbered 92220 and named Evening Star is a preserved British railway locomotive. She was the last steam locomotive to be built by British Railways in 1960.
Evening Star was built in Swindon in 1960. She was given a special livery of passenger green, unlike other members of her class of heavy freight locomotive which were painted black, and named Evening Star after a previous locomotive on the Great Western Railway and consistent with the naming of the BR standard class 7's.
Evening Star is currently a static exhibit at the National Railway Museum, York.
