A borderless country is an island nation that does not share its island with other nations. For example, Ireland shares its island with Northern Ireland, and therefore is not borderless. They do not have to be a single island, as countries such as the Federated States of Micronesia can consist of thousands of islands.
Note: A borderless country is different from an island nation because island nations such as Indonesia can have borders.
