Borås [bu'roːs] is a Municipality in Västra Götaland County, in western Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 915.2 km². Of the total population of 96,883, 47,047 are male, and 49,836 are female. The population density of the community is 106 inhabitants per km². Borås town has Sweden's leading textile factories, and is also known for its zooloogical garden.
