Boechout is a municipality located in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium, and in the Flemish province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Boechout proper and Vremde. On January 1st, 2000 Boechout had a total population of 11,919 (5,990 males and 5,929 females). The total area is 20.63 km² which gives a population density of 577.75 inhabitants per km².
