The BMW Isetta was a small, three-wheeled bubble car (one powered wheel in the back, two wheels in front), with a door consisting of the entire front of this microcar. The word "Isetta" is a combination of the company name of the Italian Iso the licensor of this model with the suffix "-etta" indicating small things.
Most Isettas do include the three-wheel feature, except for very few Isettas manufactured in GB, it used to have 4 wheels, the rear two's narrowly spaced.
Later developments led to a four wheel version (BMW Isetta 600).
