The Bhagavatha-Purana (Bhagavata) is part of the Hindu Puranas; this religious scripture, written c.400-1000, discusses Krishna. This text was based upon the Bhagavad-Gita. This text mentions the first Jainist Tirthankara, Rishabhadeva.
This work is also known as Srimad-Bhagavatam. An English translation of this immense work was begun and mostly completed by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The rest was finished by some of his disciples.
Srimad-Bhagavatam is a highly respected scripture for Hindus, and is sometimes referred to as the fifth Veda. Srimad-Bhagavatam includes the Lord Buddha (Buddhadev) as the ninth Lila avatar of Vishnu, instead of Balarama.
