The Bentley Arnage is a car produced by Bentley in the United Kingdom beginning in late 1998 and still in production as of early 2004. Although having undergone various alterations, much of the design remained the same. The car is delivered in three types: the standard Arnage R, the even more powerful Arnage T, and the Arnage RL.
This vast car, more than 5 metres long, almost 2 metres wide, and having a mass of over 2.5 metric tonnes, is powered by a massive 6.75 litre pushrod V8 engine. An engine that was originally made in the 1960s was brought back into production for this car. First powered by a single turbocharger, but nowadays there are two smaller turbos, producing 400 bhp (300 kW) in the Arnage R and Arnage RL.s In the Arnage T, the engine delivers 450bhp (340 kW). A torque of 616 lb ft (835 Nm) is delivered to the Arnage R and Arnage RL, while the Arnage T can count on 645 lb ft (875 Nm). The Arnage R does 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.9 seconds, the Arnage RL takes 6.0 seconds, while the Arnage T does the same acceleration in 5.5 seconds. The top speeds of the cars are 155 mph (250 km/h) for the Arnage R and Arnage RL, and 168 mph (270 km/h) for the Arnage T.
This model was joined in late 2003 by a brand new Bentley coupe called the Continental GT, on sale for approx £110,000, with a 6.0 litre, 12 cylinder engine producing 553 bhp (410 kW) and 479 lb ft (650 Nm) of torque from its twin turbocharged engine getting to 60mph (97 km/h) in 4.7 seconds.
