The Belaya River (Белая, Большая Белая (Big Belaya) in Russian), a river in the Irkutsk Oblast and Buryatia in Russia, a tributary of the Angara River, which flows into the Bratsky Reservoir. Its length is 359 km. The area of its basin is 18,000 sq km. Principal tributaries: Urik and Malaya Belaya. The Belaya River freezes up in October-November and stays under the ice until April-May. There are nephrite and graphite deposits in the Belaya basin.
