Beckton Station is the eastern terminus of one branch of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The next stop is Gallions Reach. The DLR branch from Poplar was opened in 1996.
When the London Docks were active they were served by a railway system. Beckton station existed on this earlier network and was closed in December 1940.
