Baz Luhrmann
Baz Luhrmann (born Mark Anthony Luhrmann, New South Wales, 17 September 1962) is an Australian film director. He graduated from NIDA in 1988 and has directed the following films:
He has also directed the opera La Bohème. He is also working on a biographical film of Alexander the Great, tentatively starring DiCaprio and Kidman.
Baz Luhrmann has listed Bollywood films as a major influence on his work, especially on Moulin Rouge!
Luhrmann is also credited with a 1999 UK number one single entitled Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen).
Luhrmann married Catherine Martin on 26 January 1997. They have one child, Lillian Amanda Luhrmann.
