The Battle of Fleurus took place on July 1, 1690. It was a victory for the French army under Montmorency-Luxembourg against a European army comprising the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Great Britain under the German General Waldeck. France lost 3,000 men, while the allies lost 9,000 men.
French commanders included François Henri de Montmorency-Bouteville, duc de Luxembourg, Louis François, duc de Boufflers and François Louis, Prince of Conti.
