Baoding (保定, pinyin: Bǎodìng) is a prefecture-level city in Hebei province, China, and was the capital of Hebei until 1958. It is a city with a history dating back to the Western Han Dynasty.
Baoding is nearly halfway from Beijing to Shijiazhuang on the Jingshi Expressway and is the western terminus of the Baojin Expressway to Tianjin.
